Handmade Patchwork Quilt with Red

A fabulous patchwork quilt using many red fabrics to give this quilt such a stunning look. I have always loved two-color quilts in my home.

I really enjoyed making this quilt and will probably do another in different colors.

This quilt is 54" x 61". The fabric and batting are 100% cotton. The batting I used was Warm and Natural. Using a beige cotton thread I quilted an allover pattern of loops throughout the quilt. The binding was machine stitched to the front and then hand stitched to the back to finish.

I just could't resist making another quilt with the mountain theme. I love these quilts as they remind me so much of living in the mountains. As much as I love living in Colorado I do miss my mountain home in Lake Tahoe. This quilt is a great comfort quilt. I just want to sit by the fire with a quilt like this. Especially with all the cold weather we have been having lately. The colors are brown, tan, red and green. Some fabrics have moose, deer and bear. A perfect quilt for your home, den, or cabin. I had been wanting to do a quilt with diamonds for awhile.  It is different from my usual blocks and turned out to be a fun quilt to make.  It was a bit challenging to put together, but I will do another one.  I just have to decide on what colors to do next.
